Welcome to my new Solo Projects music webpage! This is a home for the weird and whacky music I come up with on my own. When I'm not working with a band I write mostly synthesizer instrumental and soundtrack type pieces, but who knows what will end up here?

UPDATE - June 8th 2008 - "This Is The Year" was originally going to be my entry into the CBC Hockey Night In Canada Theme Song contest, but then I read what really went down between the CBC and the woman who wrote the original theme song and decided to pull my song from the contest. I hope to develop it into a full-length song for a recording project I am working on.

UPDATE - July 12th 2007 - To start off, here are two instrumental pieces I wrote a few years back. The first piece is called "Ifurita". Ifurita was a female character in a brilliant japanese anime series called El Hazard. Though most people who have seen El Hazard might think Ifurita was simply a one-dimensional villain bent on destruction, I saw a character who was imprisoned against her will and forced to destroy. With one surprising and unthinkable gesture, another character, Makoto, manages to break through Ifurita's walls to find a person with a heart and soul, but they are buried deep. Makoto's journey to free Ifurita spans space and time, but the ending is worth all the effort. The second piece is another synthesizer instrumental called "Elves In Snow". Listen to the song and you'll hear pretty quickly where I came up with the title.
