BANG!

The KISS show last night provided another entry for the concert ticket archive. It was pretty loud, though not as loud as I had expected, but they put on a great show. And I was very inspired by Paul Stanley’s famous closing words, “If you can dream it, then you can be it. And don’t take any crap!”

Saga concert in Toronto

Not sure how I forgot to post this!

Aug 28th 2009: I just got back from a very rainy drive home from Saga’s Toronto show at The Sound Academy, and while I will post a more in-depth review later (when my ears have stopped ringing and I've got some sleep), I would just like to say that it was a fantastic show, the band sounded great, and I got to see one of my guitar heroes Ian Chricton, do what he does best from just 3 feet away. And as the icing on the cake, right at the end of the show I yelled out Ian's name and caught his attention, then made a motion like I was holding a guitar pick, and he came right over, knelt down a bit and carefully tossed his pick into my out-stretched hand. As my buddy Scott said when we were leaving, "You couldn't have asked for a nicer present." And he was right.

What a great band, I'm so happy they were able to book the gig in Toronto so their home-town fans could see them in a great venue!
